Welsbach Technology Metals Acquisition extended its merger deadline to May 30 and signed a promissory note to its sponsor for $125,000. The fundes were deposited into trust for the extra month the SPAC now has to complete its merger with battery maker WaveTech.
The $228 million deal was announced in November. At the time, the SPAC held about $78 million in trust.
