Graf Acquisition III Pulls Plug on $300M IPO

Graf Acquisition III in a letter to the SEC said it is withdrawing a 30 million-unit offering, which was initially registered in February last year.

Simultaneously with the offering registration for Graf III, veteran SPAC executive James Graf also registered Graf Acquisition II and IV. Graf IV raised $150 million in a May 2021 IPO. Graf II is registered with the SEC for a $225 million offering, but has yet to go to market. 

Each of the three SPACs has a broad mandate, able to target a business or businesses in any sector, and may be upsized based on demand or a so-called greenshoe, according to the initial filings.

Graf III had planned to apply for a NYSE listing, with Oppenheimer & Co. tapped as sole book-runner. Read more
