AvePoint

In an unusual twist on incentivizing investors, Apex Technology Acquisition and AvePoint said today that they will donate $1 for every shareholder who votes on the proposed merger before June 30, — up to $100,000 — to Girls Who Code.

The donations will be made for each vote cast, regardless of the content of the vote, the companies said in a joint statement

The nonprofit organization’s mission is to close the gender gap in technology. Apex and AvePoint said they believe that the future of STEM is rooted in future generations where diversity is a strength that will set extraordinary organizations apart from the ordinary.

Announced in November, if the deal is approved the combined company would have an estimated market value of approximately $2 billion. The deal includes a fully committed PIPE of $140 million.

AvePoint is the largest data management solutions provider for the Microsoft cloud.

The combined company would operate as AvePoint. Shares of common stock and warrants will list on the Nasdaq under AVPT and AVPTW, respectively. Read more.
