GigCapital2 Stockholders Approve Deadline Extension for Mergers

GigCapital2 said stockholders approved an extension until June 10 by which the SPAC has to complete a business combination.

The deadline had been March 10. GigCapital2 requested the extension to allow more time to complete its previously announced business combinations with UpHealth Holdings and Cloudbreak Health, as the delay pertains solely to the finalization of S-4 documents and proxies filed with the SEC.

GigCapital2 announced in January it had raised $285 million from institutional investors for the business combinations. Read more.
