Iron Horse Acquisition in a regulatory filing yesterday said it would not proceed with an offering of 10 million units initially registered in November 2022.
The SEC on Sept. 29 declared the registration statement abandoned.
Iron Horse had planned to search globally for target companies within the media and entertainment industry with a primary focus on the United States.
CEO Jose Antonio Bengochea founded the SPAC and was to be a member of the board after the IPO. Bengochea also founed and is CEO of Bengochea Capital, an investment firm founded in 2020 to pursue frontier asset classes and, through Bengochea’s network of connections to various industry executives and celebrities, to examine global opportunities in media and entertainment.
The SPAC was chaired by Brian Turner, former CFO of Coinstar. Iron Horse CFO Jane Waxman is a former deputy CEO of 20th Century Fox. Read more.
