Apollo Strategic Growth Capital III Withdraws $350M IPO

Apollo Strategic Growth Capital III in a letter to the SEC said it is withdrawing an offering of 35 million units originally registered in March 2021.

The SPAC in the initial S-1 filing did not list specific sectors to target, saying it would leverage management’s experience to find a suitable business combination. However, Apollo III ruled out an acquisition in the natural resources, infrastructure or energy industries.

Apollo III is led by CEO Sanjay Patel, chairman international and senior partner of private equity of Apollo. He was formerly head of Europe and managing partner of Apollo European Principal Finance.

The SPAC had palnned to list on the NYSE with Credit Suisse, Apollo Global Securities, BofA Securities, Goldman Sachs, and RBC tapped as joint book-runners. Read more.
