Former president Donald Trump received a bonus of 36 million shares in Trump Media and Technology Group, according to a new regulatory filing, after the company’s stock hit certain price benchmarks since its debut on the Nasdaq in late March. On paper, the stock award adds about $1.8 billion to Trump’s wealth.
Trump now owns 114.75 million shares, or 64.9% of the company that operates Truth Social.
He is now in the second month of a six-month lockup under which he cannot sell any of his stake in the company. Read more.
