Trump Media Alleges Stock Manipulation in Letter to Congressional Committee Chairs

Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes sent a letter yesterday to each of the chairmen of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on the Judiciary, Committee on Financial Services, Committee on Ways and Means and Committee on Oversight and Reform “regarding potential manipulation of the stock of the company.” The letter alleges “naked” short selling of Trump Media shares and is similar to communications that Nunes sent to the Nasdaq last week.

Nunes, a former Congressman from California, joined Trump Media shortly after its formation. Like Nunes, the four congressional committee chairmen are Republicans who have aided and defended former president Donald Trump through the years.

Shares in Trump Media are down almost 60% since the company made its debut on the Nasdaq in late March. Read more.
