Quantum FinTech Stockholders Approve AtlasClear Merger Amid 98% Redemptions

Quantum FinTech Acquisition said its stockholders voted in favor of the business combination with AtlasClear, which provides specialized banking and clearing services to other financial services firms.

Following the closing, shares are expected to begin trading on the NYSE American under the symbol ATCH.

The SPAC said 4,953,369 shares were redeeemed out of 5,050,384 shares outstanding. Final calculations are underway, but the preliminary estimate is that approximately $53.1 million ($10.73 per share) will be removed from the trust. That would leave slightly more than $1 million in trust.

AtlasClear and Quantum FinTech Acquisition two weeks ago waived the $40 million minimum cash condition required to close the deal.
