LatAmGrowth SPAC announced that its oft-delayed shareholder meeting to consider early liquidation has now been “permanently adjourned.”
Shareholders were expected to vote on a proposal that would have allowed the SPAC to wind up and redeem shares immediately after the vote, had the measure been considered.
As it stands, the SPAC’s termination deadline can now be extended automatically until Nov. 27 without another shareholder vote.
LatAmGrowth did not say what it intends to do with this extra time, not did it divulge redemptions leading up to the cancelled meeting. News reports speculate management behind the scenes may be looking to sell the sponsor’s stake to a new team. Read more.
