Former US Rep. and current Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes calls out SEC Chairman Gary Gensler for slow walking the approval that’s still needed for the Truth Social SPAC deal, according to Just the News.
“You have three people that are clearly involved in this transaction, or non-transaction, trying to basically kill our ability to have access to the public markets,” Nunes reportedly said.
Digital World Acquisition, the SPAC trying to take Donald Trump’s company public, faces a September deadline to close the deal, which has been the focus of a federal investigation as regulators examine unusual trading in the SPAC’s warrants as well as alleged conversations Digital World execs may have had with Trump’s company before the deal was announced in October 2021.
