Gorilla Technology Group and Global SPAC Partners Close Merger

Gorilla Technology Group and Global SPAC Partners completed their merger following approval yesterday by the SPAC’s shareholders.

Redemptions hit 88.4%, according to a news release, although Gorilla last week waived the $50 million minimum cash condition for closing the deal and the SPAC announced it had secured a PIPE of nearly $42 million, which was enough to get the deal done.

Gorilla shares and warrants begin trading today on the Nasdaq under the new ticker symbols GRRR and GRRRW. The company is engaged in edge video analytic artificial intelligence, IoT technologies, and cybersecurity. Read more.
