Capitalworks Emerging Market Acquisition Files for $200M IPO

Capitalworks Emerging Market Acquisition registered to offer 20 million units, each consisting of one Class A ordinary share and one-half of a warrant.

The SPAC also has a forward purchase agreement with Camber Bass, which will purchase up to $20 million in units.

Sectors of particular interest to the new SPAC include consumer and consumer technology, financial and business services, healthcare, and technology, media and telecom, or TMT in emerging markets. 

CEO and Director Roberta Brzezinski leads the sponsor’s global emerging markets practice and has 23 years of direct private equity investment experience across Asia, Latin America and Central Europe. She has also been named by the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) as an authorized non-executive director for IFC investee companies.

Barclays is managing the offering. The underwriters have a 45-day option to purchase up to 3 million additional units to cover over-allotments, if any.
