Crypto Firm Circle Considers $4B SPAC Deal

Circle, the company behind the fast-growing dollar-pegged coin USDC, has raised $440 million in fresh capital and is now considering a deal with a blank-check company, The Block reports.

The funding comes ahead of a potential SPAC deal, according to two sources familiar with the matter. The firm’s target valuation for the SPAC is said to be $4 billion.

USD Coin now stands at $22 billion in circulation. USDC has grown by 436 percent in 2021 and over 28,000 percent over the past 12 months. Read more.
