IonQ is in advanced talks to merge with DMY Technology Group III, Bloomberg reports, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The deal would create one of the first public quantum-computing firms.
The combined company is slated to be worth about $2 billion and a deal is set to be announced in coming weeks. Silver Lake, MSD Partners, Bill Gates’s Breakthrough Energy and an affiliate of Hyundai Motor are in talks to participate in a PIPE. Read more.
