Empowerment & Inclusion Capital I Files for $200M IPO

New SPAC Empowerment & Inclusion Capital I filed to offer 20 million units at $10 each to raise $200 million. The company will target a business focused on inclusion and diversity. Focus will be given to Black-owned and managed companies, the SPAC said in the filing.

CEO and Chairman Harold Ford Jr. is also EVP and vice chairman of PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking Group. He is a former Democratic congressman from Tennessee.
