Gallagher, a global insurance and risk management brokerage firm, announced the appointment of John Marchisi as the new national director of its SPAC segment within the Financial Institutions practice for U.S. retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
Marchisi is one of the featured professionals scheduled to speak during the SPAC Conference 2021 hosted by DealFlow Events.
Marchisi will work with Eileen Yuen, managing director of Gallagher’s Financial Institutions practice.
Marchisi has built a career as an insurance and risk management professional specializing in Directors and Officers liability insurance for financial institutions. In his 15 years of experience, he has worked in capital markets on both the American Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange, where he served as an elected exchange official. He won the first American Stock Exchange SPAC listing of 2004, further building on that success to become the U.S. market share leader in SPAC IPO listings from 2004 to 2010. He joined Gallagher in 2018 as an area vice president.
