Thiel-Backed Bridgetown Holdings Reportedly Near Merger Deal With Hyphen

Hong Kong-based personal finance fintech Hyphen Group is said to be in talks with Bridgetown Holdings, a SPAC backed by Richard Li and Peter Thiel.

Hyphen backers include Li’s Pacific Century, Alibaba, Goldman Sachs, Experian and IFC.

The companies are finalizing the details of an agreement that could be announced as early as this month, Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the discussions. Bridgetown has conducted due diligence on Hyphen and the firms are holding final negotiations with both existing and prospective shareholders, the people said. Read more.
