Trump-Tied SPAC Names New CFO, Rents Offices from Interim CEO

Digital World Acquisition today in an 8-K filing said it has named Katherine Chiles the CFO of the company. She worked as a financial analyst in a contract position for both ACTAVO, an infrastructure company servicing Ireland, the UK and the global events industry, and Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment firm. Prior to that, Chiles served as director of financial operations for Battaglia Law Office.

The SPAC, which is attempting to take Donald Trump’s media company public, also disclosed that it will pay a company owned by interim CEO Eric Swider $15,000 a month for office space, utilities, and secretarial and administrative support.

Digital World last month ousted former CEO Patrick Orlando, who founded the SPAC. He remains on the board.

“As the board executes its succession plan, it looks forward to a fully realigned management team to best meet the challenges the company faces,” the SPAC said at the time.

Digital World has a September deadline to close the deal with Trump Media and Technology Group. Read more.
