Prospector Capital Loses 93% of Trust Value in Extension Vote

Prospector Capital in an 8-K filing said shareholders approved a deadline extension until the end of this year to get a deal done. Shareholders also voted in favor of granting the SPaC board authoirty to liquidate early, in its discretion.

In connection with the votes, the SPAC said 30,305,944 shares were redeemed, leaving approximately $22.3 million in trust.

Prospector Capital raised $325 million in an IPO two years ago. The tech-focused SPAC is led by two former executives of Qualcomm, including CEO Derek Aberle. Read more.
